Multiply instead of Add

Often you hear about people being talked and managed as Resource and Capacity – that we Add, Subject, Allocate, Repurpose.  Yes, in manual labour or Manufacturing that may be the case, but most of our work are not just about time and utilization.
A good ADDITION to the team will MULTIPLY results. They elevate ideas, build on each others’ strengths and cover blind spots.  They help each other focus, succeed and improve.
In contrary, a single bad player not just REDUCE the team’s capacity, but DIVIDE the team’s efforts and achievements, not to mention drag morale down with negative attitudes.
If you sense that you are needed for your time (capacity) and not value (capability), that is a warning sign.  How can you multiply the team’s results?
