Working from Home for Fun and Profit

Real life conversation at the office:
Intern 1: Hey – I haven’t seen you for a while, what are you up to?
Intern 2: Not much, I have just been working from home, it’s been great!  I got a lot done.
Intern 1: Good for you! I have been in meetings a lot lately and feel like I’m behind. Maybe I should do that this Friday so I can concentrate and catch up.
Intern 2: (Grin) You know I was talking about my crypto trading and long lunches, right?
Intern 1: Oh, okay, I see.  What if people find out that you are not actually there, when you are supposed to be working from home?
Intern 2: Don’t worry, I got it figured out!  I got an old phone that I just leave on and plug in, connected to wifi.  I put my mouse on the phone, and every 20, 30 minutes, I will call it from my own phone. That way the vibration will move the mouse, and on IM it will show that I am not away.
Intern 1:  Wow – That’s Brilliant! I wouldn’t have thought of that!
Intern 3: (Interjecting) Why don’t you guys automate it? Just set a timer on the phone
 
Me: (If they put their energy and whiz on the business, we have a hell of a team…)
